In Lantau Island, HK, I stumbled upon this father and son business gearing up for Chinese New Year. They make the dragon heads (and other animals, real and not) for street festivals. It's incredibly fiddly work; a process of fixing near weightless strips of bamboo into complex structures onto which a paper-maché face is pasted.
A few portraits of the lovely people from the University of Liverpool
Some shots from New Zealand. Big thanks to Dominic, Kowhai and family for a very special day!
A few from last week in Dorset with the Boat Building Academy, shot for Korea's Morning Calm magazine. Big thanks to Yvonne, Harry et al!
An amazing time spent in Pakistan for DK shooting the Children Just Like Me book. Very special thanks to Maham at ITACEC for looking after me!
London's Pride parade last Saturday shot for Royal Mail.
I never once felt threatened in Pakistan but these chaps were there just in case. Lovely guys but probably a good thing we didn't find any trouble as their ancient Hilux truck had no starter motor and required the assistance of all the village kids to push it started. They wouldn't let me photograph that.
